Responsibilities

Participates as part of the perioperative team in assisting Operating Room (OR) staff with support services necessary for safe and efficient patient care and environmental cleanliness within the various areas of Surgical Services. Functions in the Core Assistant role, assists in case cart preparation, including surgical instrumentation used in the operating room. Frequent duties include, but are not limited to transportation of blood and specimens, stocking and maintaining cores, maintaining the general orderliness of assigned Surgical Services department, and errands as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience:One year previous medical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or central sterile tech preferred. Skills:Must have the ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English and perform basic computations. Medical terminology desirable. Must be able to work well with other team members. Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision. Compensation details: 19.53-26.45 Hourly Wage
