Job Description:

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CNC Router Programmer and Lead for a long-term swing shift role with a plastics manufacturer located in Tigard, OR. The person in this position will implement, control, and improve machining process while collaborating with operators, engineers, designs, and drafters. This person all supports the training of other CNC Router Operators on the team.

Pay: $30-$39/hr



CNC Router Programmer Responsibilities:

Contribute in the development and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions and process definitions in a MRP II and ISO 9000 environment.


Work with CAM/CNC operators in the development of part drawings and part programs.


Work with Production personnel and Manufacturing Engineering to improve quality, yield and productivity.


Work with CNC operators to assure optimal operability of machine tools and equipment.


Write and develop CNC programs from geometry and hardcopy engineering drawings.


Convert CAD files, generate part drawings and analyze part geometry while working in CAM program.


Create tool paths, NC codes and set-up sheet in CAM program.


Complete documentation, as necessary, for programming.


Responsible to manage products and processes.


Perform new employee orientation including requirements and processes


Scheduling individual areas.


Liaison with Machining Manager on team personnel issues.





CNC Router Programmer Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent.


6-8 years in manufacturing environment, Programing/Router experience required


Ability to assign jobs based on capabilities


Leadership experience to work with Manager and HR regarding personnel issues


Experience assigning personnel and jobs for regular and overtime schedules


Organized and knowledgeable in the programing and routing plastic parts


Able to use and read precision measuring equipment.


Ability to identify and weld different plastics - WPP, NPP, All PVC material, FRPP, PE, Polycarbonate, CPVC, PVDF, FM4910, Acetal, Acrylics, PET, PEEK, UHMW, HDPE, PTFE, PFA Materials.


Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
