Job Description:
Job Overview: Adventist Health Portland, a leading healthcare
provider in a bustling cosmopolitan area surrounded by nature, is
seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Day Shift position.
The role is responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care to
a patient or assigned group of patients. This includes supervising
and directing nursing staff activities and coordinating care with
other healthcare disciplines. The RN will utilize critical
thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to
provide high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:
Collect relevant patient health data, analyze assessments, and
determine diagnosis and care needs. Develop and implement care
plans to achieve desired outcomes, evaluating progress toward these
outcomes. Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare team
to provide care in a safe, healing, and supportive environment.
Promote health and a safe environment through interventions and
strategies aimed at improving patient well-being. Team
Collaboration: Coordinate care delivery with a multidisciplinary
team, ensuring all members contribute effectively to patient care.
Delegate tasks appropriately to various healthcare team members.
Provide learning opportunities and health education to patients,
families, and team members. Discharge Planning: Participate in
discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and effective
transition from hospital to home or other settings. Supervision:
Supervise and direct nursing staff at various levels of care. Use
professional judgment to make decisions regarding patient care
needs and supervise the execution of the care plan. Additional
Duties: Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Job
Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor---s Degree in
Nursing (BSN) preferred. Acute care facility experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in
the state of practice. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic
Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification required.
