Providing a comprehensive range of programs spanning emergency services at the Burnside Shelter to transformational, abstinence-based New Life recovery programs, the compassionate staff at Portland Rescue Mission express the love of Christ through walking alongside men, women, and children on their journey towards healing. 81% of graduates of the one-year New Life program in the last five years remain addiction-free and in housing. With a $10.4M budget, $24.3M in assets, and $0 debt, Portland Rescue Mission's 84 team members steward donors' resources exceptionally well for maximum impact.After 18 years of serving, shaping, and leading this outstanding ministry, Eric Bauer has retired from his position. The next Chief Executive Officer will inherit a healthy organization, an accomplished leadership team, an engaged and informed Board, programs with a history of exceptional results, all supported by a strong financial position. The ministry is poised for growth in several key areas including increasing community engagement and visibility, fundraising to advance strategic initiatives, and cultivating deeper church and ministry partnerships.
