Job Description:

Our startup client is looking for a Principal Engineer to be the lead on an exciting IoT project. This person will lead the architecture of their backend systems while diving into the code. This person should be comfortable working across the stack and drive solutions.Responsibilities:

• Drive Technical Architecture: Lead the design and development of our technical architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Hands-On Coding: Actively engage in coding using TypeScript and Node.js, contributing directly to the codebase.
• Full Stack Development: Work across the entire stack, from front-end to back-end, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects, leveraging your experience in building and guiding similar initiatives to success.
• Distributed Systems & Infrastructure: Design and implement distributed systems, with the ability to flex into infrastructure, particularly using AWS and our proprietary cloud.
• IoT Projects: Work on innovative IoT projects, developing solutions that push the boundaries of technology.
• Backend Development: Utilize your proficiency in backend development to create and maintain robust server-side applications.Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience as a software developer, with a focus on startups and innovative environments.
  • Proven expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong background in API and integration space, with experience in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture and manage project lifecycles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work across the entire stack.
